Certification Latino Leadership Practitioner

LIDERAMOS Core Elements Certification Overview

June 2024 Registration is Open

In this model, we recommend five Core Elements with five suggested components to amplify Latino positionality and culture-based learning. Latino leadership programs (LLPs) should strive to cover all the Core Elements for an intensive, interactive, and culturally relevant experience that enable Latinos to deepen and expand their leadership competencies. Some elements are covered in more than one training module. Integrating Core Elements into multiple sessions reinforces the various leadership attitudes, values, and skills.

  • Self Development and Awareness
  • Mainstream Leadership
  • Latino History, Culture, & History Practices
  • Public Policy, Civic Engagement and Social Change
  • Skill Development: Networking, Team Building and Influence Strategies

The LIDERAMOS model versatility acknowledges and can accommodate existing leadership programs and approaches. This versatility is important for LLP responsiveness and care for the participants and local community needs.

A three-part training series is offered to  anyone interested in learning about the LIDERAMOS Latino Leadership Model. Participants will be introduced to the five core elements of the program model, the value and purpose of culturally-driven leadership, the key attributes of a Latino centered-adult learning environment, and be guided in community-centered program design. Upon registration, training agreements and outlines will be shared in order for participants to prepare.
