Symposium Journey – What to Expect
Avanzando Juntos: Honoring Legacy, Leading Today, Building Tomorrow is more than the theme of the 2026 LIDERAMOS National Leadership Symposium, co-hosted by the Adelante Leadership Institute—it is our collective call to action. Over three transformative days, participants will embark on a leadership journey that honors the experiences and cultural strengths that have shaped us, strengthens the skills and relationships needed to lead in today’s complex world, and inspires a shared commitment to build stronger organizations, communities, and opportunities for future generations.
Grounded in the belief that our greatest leadership strengths are rooted in our culture, lived experiences, and commitment to one another, the Symposium brings together emerging and established Latino leaders from across sectors and across the country to learn, connect, and grow together. Through inspiring keynote conversations, interactive workshops, cultural experiences, storytelling, and opportunities for reflection, participants will deepen their leadership, expand their networks, and become part of a national community dedicated to advancing Latino leadership.
Throughout the Symposium, one idea will guide our experience: we move forward together. Every conversation, every connection, and every shared experience strengthens our collective leadership ecosystem—one that honors our past, equips us to lead in the present, and empowers us to build a stronger future together.
Day 1: Honoring Legacy — Rooted in Culture, Connected in Community
The Symposium begins by welcoming participants into the LIDERAMOS community and creating a shared sense of belonging. The experience opens with a Rebozo Ceremony, a meaningful cultural tradition that symbolizes protection, connection, and the weaving together of our individual and collective leadership journeys. Together, participants will honor one another’s contributions while recognizing the ancestors, mentors, families, and communities whose resilience, sacrifice, and wisdom have shaped who we are as leaders. Through storytelling, cultural traditions, and authentic relationship-building, the evening invites participants to connect across generations, sectors, and geographies while celebrating the richness of Latino culture, creativity, and lived experience. By the end of the evening, participants are grounded in the understanding that we move forward together because none of us arrives here alone.
Day 2: Leading Today — Strengthening Leaders for This Moment
The second day focuses on the leadership our communities need today. Through inspiring keynote conversations, intergenerational dialogue, and hands-on learning experiences, participants explore what it means to lead authentically, courageously, and with cultural pride. Recognizing that sustainable leadership begins with caring for ourselves as we care for others, participants are also invited into spaces for healing, reflection, and renewal that honor the emotional, cultural, and lived experiences we carry as leaders. Sessions provide practical tools to strengthen personal leadership, build stronger organizations, deepen community partnerships, and expand influence across sectors. Throughout the day, participants are encouraged to reflect, connect, heal, and learn from one another while celebrating the leaders who are transforming communities across the country. The evening culminates with the Goza la Vida Awards Celebration, where we honor extraordinary leaders whose lives remind us that advancing together requires excellence, generosity, joy, and the courage to lead with both strength and heart.
Day 3: Building Tomorrow — Creating a Lasting Legacy Together
The final day looks beyond today’s challenges toward the future we are called to build together. Participants begin by exploring the current State of Latino Leadership in our country—celebrating the progress we have made while recognizing the opportunities and challenges that remain. Through conversations on civic engagement, public service, board leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and strengthening the institutions that shape our communities, participants will examine how we can collectively expand Latino leadership and create lasting opportunities for future generations.
Throughout the day, participants will translate inspiration into action by identifying practical ways to strengthen leadership pipelines, build partnerships, and invest in the collective infrastructure needed to ensure Latino leaders continue shaping our nation’s future. The Symposium concludes with a renewed commitment to the LIDERAMOS community and a shared understanding that Avanzando Juntos is not simply the theme of this gathering—it is a lifelong commitment to honoring our legacy, leading with purpose, and building tomorrow together. Because the future of Latino leadership will not be shaped by any one individual or organization—it will be built by all of us, together.
