LIDERAMOS — the National Latino Leadership Alliance — is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead the next decade of growth, innovation, and national impact.

For nearly 10 years, LIDERAMOS has strengthened Latino leadership across the country by supporting local leadership programs, expanding culturally grounded leadership models, and building a national network committed to equity, belonging, and community power.

The Executive Director will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the organization, responsible for advancing LIDERAMOS’ mission, strengthening partnerships, expanding programming, and cultivating resources that sustain and scale our national work.

Lideramos Organization and Mission:

Lideramos, a 501(c)(3) is dedicated to fostering a nation where Latino leaders can thrive and inspire positive change to improve communities. Latino leadership is essential in a diverse nation in which Latinos represent 20% or 68 million individuals in the United States. In an increasingly diverse nation, we envision a future where Latino voices are at the forefront of innovation, progress, and shaping a more inclusive and equitable society. Lideramos is the first national entity dedicated to improving and igniting leadership within the Latino community. Lideramo’s mission is to enhance and develop Latino Leadership programs to strengthen a nation of diverse leaders who are culturally aware, civically engaged and community-serving, providing effective leadership for a multicultural society. Lideramos initiatives are open to all, regardless of their race and/or ethnicity, but center an understanding of Latino leadership and communities.

Current Programmatic Initiatives:

Lideramos has identified five key elements that are essential for the development of Latino leadership: 1) Self development and awareness; 2) skill building; 3) knowledge of mainstream leadership; 4) understanding the history and culture of Latinos in the United States; and 5) understanding public policy, civic engagement and social change. The latter two distinguish and are additive to traditional leadership models and paradigms. These elements are integrated into Lideramos’s programmatic initiatives. Current programs include:

– An annual National Latino Leadership Symposium
– The “New Programs Initiative” assists communities initiate Latino Leadership programs
– Core Elements training that provides a Latino Leadership Practitioner Certification
– A Lideramos Leadership Webinar series provides quarterly training to our partners
– A fellowship program with a prestigious national partner
– The National Latino Leadership Directory identifies leadership programs as well as gaps where programs are needed in the US

Role Summary:

Lideramos is seeking a passionate and committed person who is knowledgeable about leadership development and is dedicated to building a nation of Latino leaders. As a one-person shop, working with consultants, they are responsible for the overall strategy and growth of the organization. They will ensure implementation and evaluation of all of Lideramos’s programmatic initiatives, fundraising and budget, organizational development and growth, and communications/social media. They will also expand Lideramos’s national network and serve as national spokesperson for the organization. The Executive Director will be expected to provide the stewardship needed and help guide the transition to the next level of growth and capacity. They will report to the board of directors.

Role Overview:

Operational Management
– Oversee administrative systems and processes to ensure efficient daily operations
– Develop and monitor internal policies, procedures, and workflows that promote accountability and effectiveness
– Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements to support organizational operations
– Oversee financial management in coordination with the fiscal agent or accountant, including budgeting, reporting, and expense tracking
– Manage data collection, program metrics, and reporting systems to track impact outcomes
– Supervise volunteers, consultants, or interns as needed to implement projects or events
– Oversee logistics for trainings, meetings, and events, ensuring smooth execution.
– Support board operations by preparing materials, reports, and documentation for meetings
– Ensure effective external communications to include updating and maintaining the organization’s website, social media and YouTube channel current in order to promote Lideramos brand.

Fundraising and Resource Development
– Secure funding to ensure organizational stability and growth, and implement organizational growth and capacity building plan
– Develop a fundraising plan, including research, prepare, and submit grant requests, meet and report on all grant requirements
– Manage all fundraising relationships, create partnerships and alliances with the philanthropic community, private, corporate and individual donors.
– Develop revenue enhancement strategies
– Develop and maintain balanced budget on an annual basis
– Ensure compliance with all federal and state reporting requirements such as completion of 990 and an audit on an annual basis

Organizational Growth and Capacity Building
– Partner with board to develop strategy and organizational priorities
– Secure organization’s physical location and or partnership with another organization
– Maintain accounting and record keeping system
– Develop proposed staffing plan
– Establish timelines and resources needed to achieve program goals
– Develop annual plan and an annual report

Qualifications:
– Minimum of a BA degree; Master’s degree preferred. Will also consider a combination of experience and education.
– Five (5) years of professional experience including some combination of:
– Curriculum development and training
– Network and organizational capacity building
– Fundraising and Resource Development
– Serving in a senior role at a nonprofit organization, including as Director, Vice President, Executive Director, President and/or CEO, or similar position
– Reporting to or working closely with a board of directors
– Cultural competency: 3+ years working with the Latino community as key stakeholders
– Understanding of local context and Latino leadership development and training
– Evidence of entrepreneurial approaches within organizations or other startups
– A proven track record of fundraising
– Ability to manage multiple activities at once in a rapidly changing small organization
– A self-starter who can work virtually, in person, and in teams as needed
– Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
– Proficient in Microsoft office tools and canva
– Personal qualities of integrity, reliability, and passion for advancing the Latino community and
– Bilingual skills (Spanish) preferred.

Travel:
– This full-time exempt position is virtual, and as such, requires some travel, estimated at 30%.

Lideramos will offer the selected candidate a competitive salary commensurate with experience among other benefits, including annual leave, the observance of federal holidays, and health insurance. Minimum annual salary is $75,000, based on experience.
